I'm Keri, the founder of KYND, and I started this business because I believed gifting could be better. More thoughtful. More local. More meaningful. And I wanted to make it easy for people to give gifts that actually matter - without spending hours searching for something that feels right.
That's KYND in a nutshell. But let me tell you a little more.
Why I Started KYND
It started with a frustration I kept coming back to.
I'd want to send someone I loved a really special gift - something personal and beautiful that felt genuinely considered and I'd find myself scrolling through the same generic options. Mass produced. Impersonal. The kind of gift that says "I tried" rather than "I thought about you."
But I knew incredible New Zealand makers were out there. Small businesses crafting world-class products with real skill and passion. Things that were genuinely gift-worthy, locally made, and full of story. The problem was finding them, curating them, and pulling them together into something beautiful, which took time most people simply don't have.
So I decided to do it for them.
KYND Gift Boxes was born from a simple belief - that thoughtful gifting and convenience shouldn't be mutually exclusive. That you should be able to send someone a gift that truly means something, without the stress of figuring it all out yourself.
And so here we are.

We don't source from overseas catalogues or bulk suppliers. Every single product in a KYND gift box has been personally chosen by us — tasted, tested, and held to a simple standard: would we be proud to give this ourselves?
If yes -it's in. If not - it's out.
