Before there were gift boxes, suppliers, product testing, late-night packing sessions and courier pickups, there was simply an idea.
I wanted gifting to feel easier.
I was tired of spending hours trying to find something thoughtful, only to end up choosing between the same generic gifts I'd seen everywhere else. At the same time, I kept discovering incredible New Zealand businesses creating products I genuinely loved but most people had never heard of.
It felt like there should be a better way.
So KYND Gift Boxes was born. A place built around thoughtful gifting, beautiful NZ-made products, and making it easier to find a gift you're genuinely excited to give.
The Problem I Couldn't Ignore
I don't know about you, but I used to spend far too long looking for gifts.
I'd have someone in mind and know I wanted to find something thoughtful, but I'd end up jumping between websites, paying multiple delivery fees, and still not feeling confident I'd found the right thing.
At the same time, I kept discovering incredible New Zealand products from small businesses and makers I'd never heard of before. Products I loved. Products I'd happily buy for myself or gift to friends and family.
The frustrating part wasn't finding great products.
It was finding them all in one place.
So I started KYND Gift Boxes.
I wanted to make gifting easier. A place where people could find thoughtful gift boxes NZ without spending hours searching. A place filled with products I'd be genuinely proud to put my name to. And a place where more people could discover the amazing New Zealand brands hidden right under our noses.
What I Didn't Want KYND To Be
I never wanted KYND Gift Boxes to be a gift box filled with products that were only there to make a box look bigger.
I didn't want generic gifts.
I didn't want filler products.
And I definitely didn't want products I'd never use myself.
Every product has to earn its place.
If I wouldn't be excited to receive it, it doesn't make the cut.
That's still how we choose products today.
